Guy, Jeff and Joe are back again chewing the fat around Valentines Day. We chat one of the best Instagram ads ever, why the greeting card industry is on it's way out, a nice example of marketers showing empathy and why it's vital to stack those "reasons to buy". 

Lockdown has hit everyone pretty damn hard but probably none moreso than PRIMARK.  

The retail giant is on to take a £1bn quid loss this year, and yet, still refuse to do take their operation online.

I've got the two ppc boffins, both called Joe, to explain why leaning into automation within your Google Ads account is a GOOD IDEA, and also why they aren't quite worried about he computers taking their jobs just yet.

80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your customers.

The maths says that a customer from the top 20% is 16x more valuable than a bottom 80% customer.

Why isn't your marketing ALL ABOUT the top 20%. It's a mistake to try and be all things to all people.

Guy, Jeff and Joe are back again picking this one apart. How should you go about targeting the top 20%?

In case you didn't know, apparently Monday 18th January is this year's "Blue Monday". 

Blue Monday is an entirely made up concept by travel companies in an effort to sell more holidays... 

Is it a stroke of genius? Or does it bring out the absolute worst in the marketing profession?

Jeff hates it. Guy is conflicted. 

Joe says "There's a reason its 'Blue Monday', and not 'Red Monday - the happiest day of the year'."
