Episode 07: Overview of Shockwave Therapy
Have you considered offering shockwave therapy to your heel pain patients but don't know much about shockwave therapy or how it works? Should you use focused or radial shockwave therapy? Does shockwave therapy work for plantar heel pain? In this episode, we take a look at the historical development of shockwave therapy and the different types of technology used to produce shockwave therapy machines. We also cover the key differences between focused and radial shockwave therapy and my own personal experience using radial shockwave therapy for heel pain.  If you want to learn more about the physics of shockwaves here is an excellent resource provided by the International Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment.
