Why we need to stop seeing other women as competition and embrace sisterhood with Asti Maree & Brittney Vangestel

Why we need to stop seeing other women as competition and embrace sisterhood with Asti Maree & Brittney Vangestel

Here we are with another episode for the podcast! I interviewed Asti Maree and Brittney Vangestel on the topic of sisterhood! We recorded this episode back in late 2020 and dug into why it’s so important for us to be changing the paradigm around how women relate to women. Enough with the competition, it’s time to partner up! Asti and Brittney created an epic program called YOU ME HER which was all about bring women together and uplifting each other. This episode is super encouraging and if you’re someone that struggles with sisterhood, reach out! You don’t have to keep going alone. These babes also have their own epic podcast TURNED ON AND ON PURPOSE, go have a listen after this!

Asti Maree turns high-achieving women into sensual and desirable goddesses so they can manifest confidence, desirability, passion and a turn-on for life! She sells her own pleasure toys, sexuality embodiment courses and offers female sexuality retreats.

Brittney is sassy, nurturing, loving, funny & has a straight down the line attitude. She will tell you what you need to hear & not necessarily what you want to hear. She takes women on the most beautiful journey's back home to their purpose, their truth and their magnetic energy by unlocking their limitless potential.

With her bag of tools in psychic mediumship, channeling, being in your body (don't let that scare you- it's fucking amazing because she knows where the wounds are hiding and she will feel what you are feeling and can guide you out of it), deep DNA energy healing & upgrades but also clear action plans to allow you to truly step IN to what you came here to do.

Peeling back the layers of what it means to be fully human with Tara Teng

Peeling back the layers of what it means to be fully human with Tara Teng

What an episode I have for you this time around. This conversation that I had with Tara Teng was epic. We covered the intersectionality of sexuality and spirituality, we spoke about purity culture, we spoke about decolonisation and our anti-racism work that is part of being a fully embodied human. We discussed the layers that are involved in life, the layers that we need to make sure are involved in our life, supporting the LGBTQA+ humans and the ethical and sustainability choices we need to make in our lives. If you have never heard of Tara or you have never spoken to her or heard her words she is an absolutely incredible human that has dedicated so much of her life already to Justice and I'm really stoked for this episode. There's not much more that I can say to convince you to press play so just press play!

Tara Teng is a TEDx Speaker, former Miss Canada, and Embodiment Coach working in the intersections of spirituality and sexuality. She helps people come home to themselves, dismantling purity culture and reclaiming embodiment as a spiritual practice so your whole self can live and thrive in wholeness. Aside from her 1:1 coaching mentorships, Tara hosts women’s circles, workshops, online classes and retreats throughout Vancouver, Canada on the topics of theology, justice, embodiment, sexuality, and relationships.

Tara comes to this work after ten years working to advance the socio-economic status of women and end human trafficking alongside collaborative work with community stakeholders, lawmakers, and some amazing organizations.  Her advocacy work has helped to pass new laws in Canada that protect victims of human trafficking and she has established Canada’s first Municipal Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. She was named Canada’s “Woman of the Year” in 2011, named one of the Globe and Mail’s “Top 25 Most Transformational Canadians”, received an International Heroes award from the Joy Smith Foundation, as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of her vast human rights work.

In her personal life, Tara is a single mother to two young children. She continues to invest in her community as a mentor with the Miss BC leadership program and often speaks at local schools and events in the community.

She lives, works and plays on the unceded traditional territories of the Kwantlen, Matsqui, Katzie and Semiahmoo First Nations.

Our cycle and the sacredness of period blood with Claire Baker

Our cycle and the sacredness of period blood with Claire Baker

I am jumping up and down at the moment and ever so excited to introduce today’s guest today...CLAIRE BAKER! I have followed Claire for a few years now and her period and cycle wisdom has been pivotal in my own personal journey of coming off the pill and learning my cycle and its ebbs and flows. I was sooo pumped when Claire said yes to being on my podcast! I’m sure you know what to expect already from this episode, but we cover off on all the juicy cycle wisdom and also hear more about Claire’s journey and where she is now. We also talk about the sacredness of period blood and how we can honour our bodies and Mother Earth during our menstrual cycle. Get into this episode!

Claire Baker is a sought-after period coach, author and speaker. For nearly a decade Claire has taught thousands of women how to live in harmony with their menstrual cycle, rather than working against it. Claire believes menstrual cycle awareness is the missing key in women’s wellbeing, empowerment and creativity, and her immersive online courses and workshops inspire women to know their flow and become the authority in their own lives.

Claire’s online program Adore Your Cycle has students in over 35 countries. With a background in visual arts and creative business, Claire is a certified health and life coach, has studied Menstruality Leadership and is trained as a natural fertility teacher. Known for her authentic voice and ability to ‘make periods fun’, Claire is regularly featured in publications such as Red, Glamour, and Women’s Health magazine. Originally from Australia, Claire now lives in sunny East London and spends her days coaching, teaching, writing, dancing and being as close to trees as she possibly can. Take Claire’s free cycle masterclass or say hello on Instagram.

4 Pillars of Strength and tapping into your feminine with Jacob Weatherley

4 Pillars of Strength and tapping into your feminine with Jacob Weatherley

TW: Mention of suicide within this episode.

Welcome back for another episode! I’m so excited to bring Jacob onto the podcast. Jacob is the husband of my beautiful friend Grace (Episode 5) and so I was excited to bring another male voice into the ever evolving conversation around sexuality, spirituality, the masculine, the feminine and the list can just go on!

In this episode we chat about the stigma around mens health, learning to tap into the feminine, pornography, and Jacobs 4 Pillars of Strength program for men. Tune in, send it to your male friends, this is one hell of an episode!

Jacob is a Mens Coach who guides men into being confident, fulfilled and happy human beings through teaching them to become stronger within their physical bodies, their mentality, their emotions and their spirituality. After experiencing multiple failed relationships, cheating and being cheated on, a suicide attempt and the almost destruction of his business, Jacob quickly learned what it was like to be ‘stuck in the rut’.

Through years of personal development, internal work and developing systems and strategies to move through his own challenges, he now coaches men across the country who have low self worth, no confidence and no direction and turns them into truly STRONG men.

Non-Monogamy and Open Relationships with Cindra & Luke of Conscious Couples

Non-Monogamy and Open Relationships with Cindra & Luke of Conscious Couples

Today’s episode is SO GOOD! I brought Luke Skewest and Cindra Banks from Conscious Couples onto the show to chat about non-monogamy and open relationships! Cindra & Luke are married AND have an open relationship. We explore why they chose it, what it means for their relationship and the stigmas that come with the open relationship status! Cindra and Luke are very honest and open about how they navigated it together and how it ADDS to their relationship. We also chat through what they love about it, communicating and setting boundaries. So so good! Click play and get started!

Cindra's jam is self awareness. Through her own experiences with mental health challenges (eating disorder, anxiety and depression), sexual identity and divorce, she is able to relate to your struggles and support you in overcoming them.  Cindra identifies as queer, loves to keep fit with CrossFit and adores the ocean, her partner in life and biz Luke (and bonus kids) as well as travelling this beautiful planet we call earth. She loves working with women especially to unleash their inner truth and strip back the layers that are holding them back, with embodiment practices, immersions and women's circles.

Luke’s passion lies in helping people get unstuck, using his unique perspective and lessons of growth through life’s challenges. Using his experiences with childhood/family trauma, career challenges, mental health issues (anxiety/depression), addiction, marriage, divorce, sexual identity and co-parenting, Luke can relate life’s challenges and help people thrive alongside their struggles. Luke has helped people in mental health, addiction and relationships for the past five years, plus done thousands of hours of personal development. He is eager to use proven relationship tools in communication, NLP techniques, mindfulness, meditation and divine love to bring you connection and growth.

Together, Luke and Cindra are Conscious Couples, offering holistic relationship coaching for individuals and couples who are at breaking point in their relationships. They also co-host their podcast, The Relationships Show, covering the spectrum of "taboo" topics they believe need to be brought into the light. Residing in Newcastle Australia, they live beachside and have dreams of taking what they do and talk about to the world stage. Watch this space for 2021 group programs, retreats and speaking events around the country.

Finding Humanity in Ideas, A Conversation with Konrad from Ideas Digest

Finding Humanity in Ideas, A Conversation with Konrad from Ideas Digest

This episode I interview Konrad from Ideas Digest! I wanted to bring Konrad on the show to share his perspective on beliefs and why he’s taken his unique approach with his own podcast. How his guests have impacted him through the different podcast episodes and Konrad’s framework for working through new ideas and beliefs. He is an intellectual thinker and is a great observer in conversation. I’m a fan of this episode (maybe biased) but I think you will be too!

Konrad is just another bloke with a podcast who wants to practice believing the best of other people. Behind every idea, good or bad, there is a person & circumstances that has led them to where they are.

After growing up on the edges of conservative christianity Konrad noticed the endless claims to 'Truth' everyone around him was making. As he began to observe politics he began to notice the same. These claims to absolute 'Truth' whether they be political or religious helped build a strong tribe, a sense of belonging and helped render a very uncertain world understandable. However this comfrotable certainty had an ever present and not so hidden dark side, Konrad began to notice that the ones who held the absolute claim of Truth, would consider themselves right & righteous, quickly labelling those who disagree as wrong, nieve, dumb or pure evil.

With the podcast Ideas Digest, Konrad aims to understand the ideas that divide humanity and dig deep enough to try and understand the person behind the idea.

Conscious Sexuality, How I got to where I am today and what’s next with Jasmin Carman, your host!

Conscious Sexuality, How I got to where I am today and what’s next with Jasmin Carman, your host!

Jasmin brings you her very first podcast episode, interviewed by her husband, Dan, just for you! This episode you’ll hear Jasmin’s story and path she has now taken which has led her to here, Conscious Sexuality. She is passionate about dismantling the patriarchy, shedding harmful thought patterns and stepping into being your most authentic self. Life has never been better since she has followed her true path. Though, this path isn’t easy, with a lot of backlash from people dear to her, she has powered on and persevered knowing this is her true path.

Jasmin is now a coach in training and works hard to help womxn find freedom and healing in discovering themselves. She is passionate about normalising the conversation around sex and breaking down the stigma of shame around it. For generations, women have lived with shame and fear around their own bodies and their sexual experiences. They are conflicted with false information about everything from; how their bodies should look, how their vulva should smell and what a man wants in bed. Through her own healing journey she sought guidance from trusted medical professionals, but also sex, menstrual cycle and feminine wholeness coaches. The wisdom they shared about leaning into your natural cycle, loving your body and especially your vulva as well as digging in deep to resolve past traumas, really brought Jasmin freedom and a new sense of knowledge and direction about sex and sexuality.
