Dr Nicky Small chats with David McLeod, about how Charles MacIntosh overcame a terrible accident as a young man to become a talented musician, a keen naturalist, a composer, and who worked in the area for the Post Office all his life. A part of that life was helping young people to study and enjoy the natural world around them and this, in turn, led a young Beatrix to write the Peter Rabbit stories we all enjoy today.
