In this episode, I speak with Nnamdi Okaa (aka Mista Dre) a versatile entertainer with a passion for radio, comedy, and live events.

As a comic, he’s produced comedy shows like "Comedy Unplugged" and acted in several theatre productions. In addition, Dre has hosted events and concerts with international headliners like Davido, Basketmouth, Adekunle Gold and more.

Under his creative collective (The Talkative), Dre hosts the comedy podcast "Backyard Bants". With each new project, Dre continues to push the culture forward and create a platform for fellow creatives.

Aman was born in Dubai but moved to Canada soon after, where he spent the majority of his formative years. As a teenager, Aman went to 2 boarding schools - first after relocating with his family to India, and later continued on independently to another boarding school in England. His exposure to a diverse curriculum and culture, as well as the stark contrast in healthcare between these two countries led to his interest in medicine. Upon graduation, Aman chose to move back to India to gain hands-on experience and deepen his knowledge about healthcare in developing countries. 

After a couple years in practice, Aman returned to England to pursue his Masters at the London Business School before moving on to a career in Healthcare and Life Science Strategy Consulting in New York City. In a full circle moment, Aman recently moved back to Canada and is now taking the leap into healthcare entrepreneurship.

"Where are you from?" As most Third Culture Kids (TCKs) know, it can be a struggle to answer this question. Jen Mohindra is a TCK of Sottish & Indian descent. In this episode, she shares her journey and experiences from navigating her identity as an adopted TCK who lived on 4 continents. She is the founder of People Like Us - a coaching program & Facebook community that helps adult TCKs leverage their journey to find their place in the world.

"Fear is inevitable but suffering is optional". In this episode, I discuss how to rethink suffering with the founder of Kaigo Inc., Uzo Chima. We discuss the importance of perspective taking & spirituality - and how this mindset can enable one to navigate suffering, especially while living abroad. Uzo shares his experience as a TCK and the impact of losing his dad at a young age as a defining moment.
