How Credit Gurus are killing and exploiting black and brown entrepreneurs
In episode 5 of Earned Interest podcast, the business school for the Culture, Pedro and Dion discuss How Credit Gurus are killing and exploiting black and brown entrepreneurs, teaching them to go into more debt vs. growing their business.
The business credit industry has exploded recently, with numerous credit gurus and experts offering courses and coaching to help entrepreneurs obtain business credit. However, many people don’t realize that some credit gurus exploit and kill black and brown entrepreneurs by teaching them to go into debt instead of growing their businesses.
We'll discuss the recent news about celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow facing $300k lawsuit over ski collision, questioning whether suiting someone is worth it or not.
In our take or leave segment, Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch reportedly turned down multiple offers of over $2 billion to buy Tubi even with the streaming service hit record users and ad revenue. Was that a good idea or not?

Before investing in a private company, it's important to learn the basics of how these businesses work.
Here are the things you will learn:
- Overview of Angel Investing or investing in privately held companies
- Deal flow sourcing, deal selection, and preliminary due diligence
- Managing/Monitoring the deal; Wealth creation and Exit

Bad advice that sounds good - Listening to Elon Musk Tweets vs his actions
Due to the price of Dogecoin and Bitcoin fluctuating based on Elon Musk's tweets, there have been individuals who made their financial decisions based on Elon Musk's tweets, which is bad. After Elon said Telsa would not accept Bitcoin, the value of Bitcoin dropped dramatically. I have seen individual posts/memes about how they invested their life savings in Bitcoin due to Elon Musk's influence.
This prompted me to share this message about bad advice that sounds good. We all want to be rich, but we try to find the fastest and easiest path. The same individuals believe crypto will be their golden ticket because of Elon Musk, but we forget how he made his fortune and what his first investment was. Check out this post to learn what that is.
