10. Period Health, Hormones, and Weight loss - with Dinara Mukh
In this episode I got to sit down and chat with Dinara Mukh about one of my favourite health topics- period and hormones! 75% of health studies are done on men, which means, women truly don't know a lot about their bodies, even something so simple as our period. We are told bloating, mood swings, pain, breakouts, etc, are all apart of getting your period. In reality, thats not the case. As women, we need to be better educated on our bodies, so that we can truly thrive, and not feel like we are pushing a rock up a hill for the majority of our mentstrual cycle. Dinara teaches us how to sync with our cycle, and use our period to benefit us, rather than feel like its working against us. She also teaches us the importance of balancing our hormones, so that we can lose weight, and keep It off. Getting to know your body and not dread your period each month is what every woman wants, isn't it?

How To Avoid Burnout & Thrive in Nursing w/ Peggy Birr
Nurses are near and dear to my heart. I was a paramedic for many years, and then became a nurse, before having kids. Many of my friends are nurses, and what I find is that most nurses are so compassionate about helping others that they forget to take care of themselves. They often put themselves last, and their work before them, which can result in them burning out and resenting a job they loved.
This is why Peggy Birr Joins me on the podcast to talk about how you can avoid burnout and thrive within your career as a nurse. Yes, this can apply to moms as well. You don't have to put yourself on the back burner, and put others before you. In this episode Peggy explains how she went from feeling burnt out, considering a new career path, to thriving within nursing and feeling the passion she used to feel when she first started her career. If you are a nurse, or even a mom, this podcast is for you. You will learn tangible tips to help you avoid burnout and start putting yourself first. You deserve to be first on your priority list!

Setting Both You & Your Baby Up For Feeding Success w/ Sarah Malott
Sarah Malott- The Mama Coach chats with me about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and what the best option for you and your baby is! Sarah is an experienced RN in the NICU, and has a passion for educating parents when they add a new member to their family. Sarahs approach to helping mothers feed their baby can start during the mothers pregnancy. She helps mothers get ready to breastfeed (if that is their goal) and will continue on to support the mother through her feeding journey. Feeding your infant isnt always easy, and Sarah is there to give your the guidance and support that you need. Breastfeeding is a learned skill for both mom and baby, you are both learning together. Sarah reminds us that breastfeeding may not be the way all moms want/can feed their children, and thats okay. What is most important is that your baby is being fed, is loved, and you both are bonding together. Whether that is from bottle feeding, breastfeeding, or a combination of both. The one thing your baby needs the most (other then being fed) is your love and care.
