This Sunday marks Palm Sunday. It's the day when Christians remember Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem just a few short days before his death and resurrection. In this pod, we shall hear that story again and ponder what we might learn about hope for the future. The story can be found in Mark 11:1-11.

Who Said It?

In this episode, were going to think about who said what. Does how somebody dresses affect what we think of their opinion? Are we more likely to listen to somebody smartly dressed than somebody in scruffs? It's an interesting thing to think about as we listen to John 7:14-18.

There's also the answers to last week's height related Brain of the Week and a new quiz for the next week.

Loose Talk

"Careless Talk Costs Lives." "Even the Walls Have Ears." So said the posters put up throughout the Second World War, encouraging people to watch what they were saying.

Nowadays, we're free to say what we want, when we want to. But St Paul has some advice to Timothy and the church about loose talk. What advice might that be? We'll find out from 2 Timothy 2:14-19.

There'll also be the answers to last weeks' United Nation's Brain of the Week as well as a new quiz for the next week.

What might it be that we're being called to in life? What's the point? We can sometimes find ourselves asking these big questions.

Enter Isaiah. He's somebody who probably asked these questions too. God gave him a very important job to do. We'll find out about it from Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11.

It'll Soon be Advent

This episode, we're beginning to look towards Advent and Christmas. After a fairly gloomy 2020, I'm sure that most of us will be looking forward to the celebrations to come, even if they won't be the same as usual. In our reading, we hear from Jeremiah, who was prophesying about better days to come. We'll hear those words as we listen to Jeremiah 31:31-34.

We've also got the answers to last week's football themed Brain of the Week, and a new quiz for the upcoming week.
