Med School & Shattering Stereotypes (ft. Karishma Mistry)
Are you a med school aspirant or current student? Being a doctor is a very noble job but the path to get there is not easy - in this episode, I talk with Karishma Mistry, a third-year medical student at St. George’s University who is currently doing her rotations in Brooklyn, New York. We talk about Karishma's journey into Med School, how being a transplant recipient and coming from a family of doctors inspired her to take this path. We also talk about the stigmas associated with going to Med School in the Caribbean and how these stereotypes are NOT true - the geographic location of the school does not make you any less of a doctor.

The Sindhi Identity & Diaspora (ft. Angelina, Sindhi Girl Gang)
Hey hey! We are back after a 5 week hiatus, but I promise the wait was worth it. Today's episode is an extremely special one because for the first time, I talk about my identity as a Sindhi person. I embarrassingly admit that growing up, I did not think about my Sindhi culture, community & background that much but now being so far away from home, I want to understand and explore this part of my identity a lot more.
Who better to talk to about this than Angelina, the founder of Sindhi Girl Gang. Her passion for the Sindhi people and community really grew few years back when she created Sindhi Girl Gang on Instagram. Her vision for the platform is to promote, encourage and unite Sindhi girls around the world.
Also tune in to Spill the Chai on Sindhi Girl Gang this Saturday, Aug 28 at 11am ET where I will be talking about my podcast and passions in more detail :)

Ethical Journalism with Shibani Gokhale
Hey all! In this episode, I talk to Shibani Gokhale, a lawyer turned journalist who works as a permalancer with Yahoo! The news cycle is more prominent than ever before - whether that's because of the upcoming US elections, or coronavirus or the various things going on in the world. I thought that this would be a fitting time to talk to Shibani about how she ensures her journalism remains factual, ethical and understand.

As promised in the episode, I have provided some links for resources on how you can help the Black Lives Matter movement, the Minneapolis protests and how as white and non-black POC (if this applies to you), we can educate ourselves on the history of black oppression in the United States and BLM. Please look at these links because it is necessary that we are anti-racist and not just non-racist. We all need to act and speak up, because if we are not, then we are supporting the oppression.
