Welcome to The Photographers Craic. Episode 28. How do price your wedding photography
Welcome to episode 25.  That topic that is not often discussed, how to price your wedding photography. Pricing! It’s a very controversial topic and I feel this episode may be the first of many we discuss on the topic.  We have no issues talking about how much we charge for wedding photography and we break the price down so it might help you price your photography.   Many wedding photographers feel that the “value” of photography is dropping in the UK but are we thinking as business people or artists?  If you are part time photographer, does that mean you should be charging less. Should there be an industry standard price?   Don’t undervalue yourself or the industry.   Work out the basic price and then add what you feel you deserve for all the hard work and risk. The business of wedding photography with Adam Mason
Episode 20! I can’t believe that we have reached 20 episodes.  This episode we chat with Washington DC photographer Adam Mason.  Adam also hosts the Bearded Tog podcast where he discusses everything from pricing, social media, marketing and so much more.  Adam is also often joined by great guests such as: Jasmine Star, Two Mann Studios, Nathan Holritz, Robert J Hill and so many more. We get to know more about Adam but also talk about his mentoring, advising other photographers in the world of photography and we touch base on his plans for US wedding domination as he starts his associate photography program. We also cover a couple of questions from our Facebook group: Typically, wedding photographers are minimalists during the day. Do you still have most of your gear with you, but just in your car? Aside from Body & Lenses, what have you found to be must carries. When do you set up any extra gear such as flashes? What occasions to you need ‘extra gear’ for? How often do you upgrade gear?  Only as needed as soon as a newer model comes out? Wedding "Special" with Steven Van Elk & Dustin McKibben of the Wedding Photo Hangover
Welcome to episode 19 - Wedding photography special.  Ross and I teamed up with Steven & Dustin from the Wedding photo hangover podcast.  There is a BIG WARNING with this episode.  There is a little bit swearing, alcohol and just all round silliness.  We talk with them about wedding photography, sports photography, and landscape photography in this episode. Q&A: Is it okay to shark a client out from underneath another photographer? Have you ever forgotten the names of the bride and groom? How can you fix the sun's reflection in the water so it doesn't look wavy? How do you find a cool location for a selfie with sun and light and water and mountain? I wake with the rooster to do sunset shots but the sun is not setting. I wake with the owl to do sunrise shots but the sun is not rising. What am I? (I'm sorry I had to include this to relieve myself of the burden of being the only person to see this awful thing). Landscape: Locations, Printing and Pricing
Welcome to episode 18 - Landscape Chat.   James has some exciting news about a new project and will be keeping us updated through the podcast.  Ross has been judging peoples images and  We answer three questions from our listeners on our Facebook group:  What apps or websites do you use to monitor weather conditions?
