Did you know:
Endometriosis is a hormonal and immune system disease in which tissue (endometrium) similar to the inside lining of the uterus is also found in other areas of the body. It develops into growths that cause pain, bleeding, formation of scar tissue and other medical problems. Symptoms include:
- Painful periods
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Pain with sex
- Heavy or irregular bleeding
- Diarrhea and/or painful bowel movements during periods
- Infertility
It may affect more than 11% of American women between 15 and 44 and it is especially common among women in their 30s and 40s!

Pelvic Floor Myths, Sex, and Intimacy Health with MaryEllen Reider
This week I got to chat with MaryEllen Reider!
MaryEllen Reider a leading voice in the pelvic floor and sex tech wellness space. She is the co-director of Yarlap, the wellness device to treat urinary incontinence and improve sexual performance and experience through muscle control. MaryEllen spends a lot of time researching and finding out what’s new in the pelvic floor world and the social media realm and strives to empower women through their pelvic floor muscles.
The pelvic floor intertwines all aspects of women’s health, such as posture, bladder control and sex.
Many women believe that when they laugh/sneeze/or pee is something they have to live with as they age, which is a myth. In addition, the pelvic floor muscles help with the “feeling of being loose” and making orgasms stronger (Hint: there is no such thing as a “loose vagina”).
Weakening starts in your 20s. By the time we are in our 30s, those muscles might be atrophied, causing self-taught pelvic floor exercises (like Kegels) to be impossible to do. Keeping those muscles toned and healthy are key to maintaining bladder control and intimacy wellness. This can effect depression, sexual dysfunction, and anxiety.

Using Essential Oils to Enhance Your Workouts and Recovery with Jamie Reyes
This week I got to chat with Jamie Reyes!
Jamie is a wife to a former pro baseball player, mother to 3 beautiful children, fur momma to 3 dogs, former nurse and now Doterra essential oil wellness advocate residing in Southern California. What she does is pretty simple, she advocates for women who get lost in the shuffle of every day life. From raising kids, trying to be a supportive wife, or having a stressful job, sometimes women fall to the way side, and Jamie takes great joy in helping them find tools like essential oils to boost their overall health.
Jamie and I talked about what exactly essential oils are and how they can be used. She explained which essential oils can benefit your workouts by boosting your energy pre-workout, supporting healthy and efficient breathing during your workout, increasing hydration, and aiding in muscle recovery post-workout. We even touched on which oils help to reduce anxiety and stress, and which can even improve gut health through better digestion.
