Episode 25: Derek Morgan [Aerospace Engineer & FAA Aircraft Certification Chief of Staff]
Episode 25 covers Derek's journey of how he grew up interested in physics, astronomy, and hydroplane racing which leads him to pursue aerospace engineering. Derek shares his journey of how a change in his first internship assignment at Cessna Aircraft would first disappoint him but ultimately open a door to a career in Flight Test Engineering that he would love. He also shares how his professional engineering trajectory would transform into leadership roles due to his ability to listen to helpful mentors along his career path. Towards the end of the episode we learn about the power of mentorship and investing in community when Derek shares stories from his experience volunteering in a Wichita Kansas non-profit organization. This Next Generation Episode highlights one of our 2022 STEMusic Book Scholarship Winners Malayekia Miapeh! She shares how she got interested in STEM through the example of her mother and her natural curiosity. Malayekia explains how she watched her mother excel as a nurse and how that moved her to want to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. She also shares her experience moving from Liberia all the way to North Carolina and how becoming a nurse may ultimately allow her to return to her homeland. Episode 23: Dalia Hernandez Vega [Senior Process Engineer]

Dalia shares her non-traditional journey through college which includes a stint at a community college where she trail-blazed a path in a Bio Tech Program. Episode 22: Andres Treto [Aircraft Simulation Software Engineer]

Episode 19: Pamela Roberts [Systems Engineer]
