Episode 43: The Real Cause of Inaction
So what is stopping you from taking action on your ideas? Often we will set a goal, map out a strategy on how to accomplish that goal, and make a well-defined plan. However, when it comes time to put the plan into practice, we are faced with an abundance of excuses as to why we cannot proceed causing the goal to once again elude us. Episode 41: Inconvenient Amnesia
Have you ever created something for your business then forget about it only to find yourself spinning in circles trying to recreate it all over again from scratch? This is called inconvenient amnesia. It’s your brain's way of trying to protect you but it’s a symptom of indecision and it will keep you stuck. Overcoming indecision and figuring out how to get ahead with your business is about trusting yourself, making decisions, and taking action in order to gain momentum. In this episode, TaVona will share with you three examples of how inconvenient amnesia can show up and tell you exactly how to remedy it. Highlights (with timestamps): [1:58] Inconvenient Amnesia can show up as you create the same program over and over again from scratch. Not version 2.0 of a program but the same program. [3:09] Inconvenient Amnesia can show up as you doing the same assignment over and over again. [4:42] Inconvenient Amnesia can show up as you deciding the name or promise of your program multiple times. [8:10] Make the decision to offer your services to people because offering your services to people is the best way to determine what your next move is. [8:23] If you're experiencing inconvenient amnesia, make some decisions in your business and write them down someplace where you can see them on a regular basis. Like what you hear? Episode 19: Redefining What You Do
TaVona took a BIG step recently. She put in her letter of resignation to the hospital she’s worked at for decades. Saying it was hard is an understatement. We say we want to work for ourselves, we say we want to get rid of the hours of patient note paperwork, we say we’re tired of the clinic. However, though many truly do want those things, it takes a leap of faith in yourself and ability to let go that part of your identity to make this shift. As you can imagine, this is easier said than done. Do you want to leave your 9-5 for running your own business but find yourself in limbo between who you've identified as in the past and who you want to become? The only way to get there is to let go. Listen in on how TaVona navigates this emotional process and her advice on how to detach from the old and step into your new identity. A note from TaVona:  Enrollment is currently open for The Courage Circle Mastermind. It’s a 6-month intimate experience for just 12 women where I help you design the coaching business you want, create a marketing plan that feels doable and know exactly what it takes to transition to full-time coach (if that is your goal). Episode 18: How To Successfully Network Online
Turns out networking online is a lot like online dating. What?! Yes you heard that right! As weird as it may sound, the energy you bring into the online space, believe it or not, is still just as palpable as the energy someone brings to a date. You might not always be able to put your finger on exactly what is off, but you know when that person’s vibe just isn’t for you. Engaging with potential clients, referral sources, accountability partners etc. (the list is endless) is something that needs to be approached in the same authentic way you bring yourself to a dating situation. What does that actually look like? Listen in as TaVona gives us tangible examples of how this approach will work in your favor. Like what you hear? Episode 17: Indecision Fatigue
Many people have become familiar with the term “decision fatigue” as illustrated by Steve Jobs notoriously only wearing black turtles necks. Knowing what you’ll wear everyday is a way to limit the decisions you need to make within a day which then frees up mental space for the more important decisions to be made wisley throughout the day. But fewer talk about the flip side of this coin. We are in the age of information overload and there are always 50,000 options for one simple thing in your business. Turns out the inability to make a decision creates a whole new kind of fatigue. Let’s save the energy it takes to constantly bounce between 17 different options and clarify the trajectory of our businesses.  In this episode, TaVona will help us see how indecision actually will lead you to more work and inevitably more fatigue. Moreover, she shares a simple strategy that requires only a pen and paper that will knock out indecision fatigue before it has the chance to manifest. Like what you hear? If you’re new to the world of online marketing and/or coaching it can feel near impossible to navigate through the plethora of courses offered on this topic. It’s okay, we’ve all been there! Maybe, what you’re trying to get from a course is really best received through consulting, or coaching. What’s the difference? How do you know what to do when and furthermore, how to define the services YOU offer to others? Listen as TaVona guides us to clarify the lines among coaching, consulting and courses so you can have confidence in which will fill the gap in your business. Like what you hear?
