Know Your Worth!
Knowing your worth is crucial to your overall mental wellbeing and wholeness.
There was a time when I didn't know my own worth and because of that I accepted and allowed things that I should not have.
In this episode, I discuss some personal struggles, as well as some tips on improving your own sense of self worth.

The Never-ending Cycle of Mass Shootings in America
*I’ve chosen to not have this episode
sponsored*
I'm back with a bonus episode.
I could not remain silent about
the mass shootings
that have occurred this month.
In America, this seems to be a
never ending cycle. When will
the powers that be wake up?
What will it take?
Clearly people going grocery shopping and being killed or
children killed at school isn't enough of wake up call.
In this episode, I discuss my frustrations
with this never ending cycle of mass shootings. I also give my opinion on what I believe should be done.

Morals! Who said that?!
The people have spoken!
I did a poll on my stories asking if you all would be interested in me covering the Porsha Williams saga.
Well 83% of you said you’d like for me to cover it. So that’s what I’ll be doing for my next episode.
With all of my episodes I want people to be entertained but also gain some knowledge in the process. I want you all to end an episode feeling like you go something out of it.
So although this episode will have some tea, funny moment and more.
I’ll also be dropping some gems.
Some may say Porsha is doing this to remain relevant on the show, it’s a story line, or it’s for this spin off she just landed with Bravo.
It may be for all of those reasons. But why tarnish your image, and portray to the impressionable young women that look up to her, this type of behavior is okay?
We’ve become a society where anything goes. It’s really a reflection of Sodom and Gomorrah I’m sure my fellow believers will agree.
Reality Tv has spotlighted a lot of this. This Porsha situation staged or not is not the first time and won’t be the last.
Money/clout is really the root of all of this, if we’re being honest.
Marriage is treated in such a cavalier way these days. No one really respects the union anymore. People walk into marriages with so much indifference.
It really seems like morals, values and ethics have left the chat...
Let’s get into it!

Bittersweet Justice
Not even an hour after we begin to celebrate the guilty verdicts in the trial of Derek Chauvin.
We were made aware of the death of 16 yr old Makhia Bryant who was shot and killed by police in Columbus, Ohio.
Justice became bittersweet, a feeling of gloom overshadowed the hope that things are finally going in the right direction...
This has become all too common a never ending cycle, that has to stop.
All of the hashtags, the protest, the anger, and division.
In this episode I’ll be discussing
The problem with Black Lives Matter (the organization) not the meaning.
I’ll also be touching on why we need to discontinue the phrase (black on black crime)
Crime is crime and for some reason when it occurs in the black community it’s labeled by race. Yet when other races commit crime against one another it’s just crime.
I’ll be covering topics of, institutional racism (systematic), the unbalance of justice, and many more.
Tune in to the episode to hear what else I have to say.

Self Esteem & Identity Pt. 2
Part 2 of Self Esteem and Identity
We laid the foundation in part one of the episode now let’s build on it.
How do you see yourself?
Do you allow the opinions that others
have about you define you?
Has your self esteem and self value
taken a hit because you feel as though
you don’t measure up to the expectations
that people have of you?
Do you struggle with your self-image?
In this episode we are going to talk about
and discuss, why a healthy self esteem & sense of identity is so important.
How to stop allowing outside
forces define how we see ourselves.
Whether it’s your career, being a parent,
spouse, significant other, child, friend etc.
Those things don’t define you, you’re more
than that.
Social media plays a huge role in
chipping away at how we view ourselves
Whether it be a hit to our self esteem
through comparison or feeling like you
have to change who you are to be seen
and accepted.
Many different things can chip away at our
self-identity and if we aren’t careful
We can completely lose our
sense of self in the process.

What’s So Good About Good Friday?
Has anyone else questioned why it’s a Good Friday if it commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus?
I know I use to struggle with seeing Good Friday as Good. Just not understanding why it was called that. I would think of the suffering, mocking, & pain that Jesus endured
during the time of His crucifixion.
When was death and suffering ever a good thing?
It wasn’t until a few years ago that I came to fully understand the Good of Good Friday.
In this episode I’m going to discuss and explain this.

Remove the Pedestal
In this episode I’ll be discussing, why we shouldn’t put the people we admire and look up to on a pedestal.
We are all imperfect people who make mistakes, it’s part of our human nature.
So stop putting people on a pedestal.
Why?
Because they don’t belong there.
Remove that pedestal from your life it’s causing you unnecessary turmoil.
Now don’t get me wrong TTalk Fam...
It’s okay to have a role model, someone to look up to.
Whether it be (parents, siblings, friends, teachers etc.)
We do need those people in our lives that motivate us to be our best selves and who are good examples of what we aspire to be.
The problem comes in when we put those people on a pedestal, and admiration becomes idolization.
They become godlike to use in a way.

Forget About Failure
What if I fail? To avoid failure I just won’t do it...
If I go for it and fail what will people say?
Have you struggled with this type of mindset? I know I have!
In this episode I’ll be discussing how so many great opportunities and successes are missed due to fear of failure!
For the longest time I went back and forth on starting this podcast because I was afraid that I would fail.
I would get to the point of starting the podcast and then talk myself out of it.
So many times we talk ourselves out of doing great things because the fear of failure outweighs the possibility of success.
If you want to be successful in life; you have to stop thinking about what if I fail?
We give the fear of failing so much power! So many of us have allowed fear of failure to stop us from achieving our greatest potential. Isn’t that failure in itself?

Be Aware — Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a real world issue and it’s all around us. In this episode I will also share my story and how I could’ve easily been a victim of trafficking! It’s literally everywhere and all around us. We have to be careful and vigilant as well as look out for one another.
I will also be giving insight on how to pick up on the grooming techniques/tactics of traffickers. What to do if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation. The importance of being vigilant and aware of your surroundings.

Just Say “No.”
In this episode I’m going to discuss the power in saying, no. A lot of situations we’ve gotten ourselves in could’ve been avoided by just saying,no. For some reason saying no seems to be really hard for many of us. Sometimes we believe that by people pleasing we are doing good. When in reality we are causing harm to ourselves and failing to create personal boundaries.

You Sound White
In this episode I discuss the problematic stereotypes of sounding white, acting white, sounding black etc. I speak on some of my personal experiences with the issues as well as addressing why this way of thinking is so harmful and counterproductive. There’s no such thing as sounding black or white.
