Unorthodox Perspectives #04: What It Means To Live An Uncommon Life with Justin Aldridge
In this episode of Unorthodox Perspectives, we welcome our first guest onto the podcast as Justin Aldridge - Life Coach and Entrepreneur join us to discuss his mantra of living an uncommon life!
Some takeaways from this episode:
- The most important decision that you can make it to fo "all-in" in terms of your personal development, and mindset - not a career, job, or business venture!
- Contrary to belief, most depression or anxiety people feel is due to living their life out of alignment, and it's through inner work of discovering who we are and what we want in our lives, we're able to create a meaningful life in alignment with who we are.
- We all have an internal compass to guide us through life, but due to conditioning, our upbringing, limiting beliefs, or due to other factors, we lose sight of our internal compass but it's always there.
- Two of the most powerful questions that you can ask yourself to gain clarity, and to start to live an uncommon life are 1) who are you? and 2) what do you want? and, then act accordingly.

Unorthodox Perspectives #03: Expectations vs Intentions
In this episode of Unorthodox Perspectives, we discuss how to deal with the expectations of others vs your own intentions and everything that comes with it.
Some takeaways from this episode:
- Communication is vital when navigating how to deal with the expectations of others, and your own intentions so everyone knows where they stand and how to move forward together.
- Often our expectations of others are driven by our own value system which is different for everyone so it's ludicrous to even expect others to live by our own value system.
- Other people's expectations of you are always going to change and the key to life is not to live it from the outside, in, which never ends well but to live it from the inside out by doing the inner work.
- There are many different types of expectations including the expectations others put onto us, and also the expectations we put onto ourselves.

Unorthodox Perspectives #02: Redefining The Life Of A 20-Something
Welcome back to Unorthodox Perspectives, wherein this episode we discuss the life of a 20-something and how to redefine your young adult life, through personal growth, developing yourself, and focusing on building something for the future.
Some takeaways from this episode:
- Most young people don't think long-term, and instead get caught up in short-term pleasures such as alcohol, clubbing, living for the weekend, and in some cases harder and more dangerous things like drugs etc. all of which is just escapism from their reality.
- Growing up everybody is telling us what to do, but nobody helping us to work out who to be.
- If we want to create a better world for future generations, this generation must start now, and create the environments in which future generations can thrive. We believe we do this through personal growth principles, and developing ourselves.
- As a young person, it's difficult to balance your family's principles, values, and ways of life while creating your own life and becoming your own person but it vital you do so.
