Why Grusch Wouldn’t Talk to AARO
It’s been a busy week! John Oliver dedicated an episode of Last Week Tonight to UFOs and government coverups. Chris Mellon released a scathing review of AARO’s historical UAP report. And a FOIA request documented AARO’s attempts to get David Grusch to testify, their failures to address his security concerns, and includes Kirkpatrick’s private Signal messages, where he badgers Mellon and is surprised by Marco Rubio’s claims about whistleblowers.

David Grusch: 1933 UFO Crash Retrieval in Italy
All of David Grusch’s whistleblower claims were shocking, but none more than that the first UFO crash retrieval was in Magenta, Italy in 1933, and that Pope Pius XXII told the Americans about it at the end of the fascist regime. We’re looking into leaked documents that support this claim, and dive a little deeper into what both David Grusch and Lue Elizondo say about this case that predates Roswell by almost 15 years!

Mysterious Drones Swarm Navy Ships and Air Force Bases
In this episode we cover a pile of recent UFO news. Ross Coulthart says Congress smells bullshit from the AARO historical report. Rep. Burlison and the UAP Caucus formally requested a UAP select committee. The Joint Chiefs released their new UAP reporting guidelines, which seems to contradict AARO’s finding that there’s no evidence of nonhuman craft. Oh, and multiple Navy ships and Air Force bases have been swarmed by mysterious drones. It’s a very exciting time!

Is AARO’s Historical Report a Coverup?
After over a year of work, AARO has released the first volume of their report on the US government’s historical UAP investigations, and surprise, they found there is no evidence of extraterrestrial activity or of a reverse-engineering program. However, it’s worth putting this report in context of the previous 80 years of the US government saying publicly that there’s nothing to the UFO phenomenon, while taking it very seriously behind closed doors. In addition to that, the report is full of errors, bad citations, and the ODNI won’t endorse it. So it’s fair to ask: Is this report part of a coverup?

Garry Nolan, Chris Mellon, Karl Nell, and more at the SOL Foundation Symposium
The SOL Foundation held their inaugural UAP symposium back in November, and the videos are finally live. The talks are great, and in this episode, we discuss four of them: Garry Nolan tells what he learned from UAP materials he’s studied. Chris Mellon discusses the political consequences of disclosure. Kevin Knuth examines the physics of UFOs. And Karl Nell outlines a potential plan for controlled disclosure that avoids the negative consequences of catastrophic disclosure. It’s a busy episode, buckle up!

DODIG: Lack of UAP Plan May Pose a Threat
It’s been a busy few weeks! There were five UFO-related commercials at the Superbowl. The SOL Foundation dropped the videos from their UAP conference. Congress had a minor freakout directly after a UAP briefing by Lue Elizondo. The DODIG found that the DOD’s lack of a coordinated UAP plan leaves the US at risk. And Sean Kirkpatrick’s article drew a lot of pushback, questions about whether he followed the DOPSR process, and raising concerns that he may be a disinformation agent.

What We Learned from Alien Interviews
We’ve got a fun story today, one that’s reminiscent of the “EBO scientist” story we discussed a few months ago. Like that person, this Redditor claims to have been involved in a secret government research project. But where the EBO scientist was studying the biology of alien corpses, this person was helping to prepare a report summarizing what the government knows about alien society and motivations based on interviews with recovered UFO occupants!

David Grusch Was In Secret Program to Track UAP
Recently the House Oversight Committee got a classified briefing from the ICIG, which gave them some new information, including locations to investigate. Whistleblower David Grusch gave a private presentation where he said he was part of a secret program to track UAP, and that a US adversary may be trying to force disclosure. Finally, former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick wrote an article that tries to dismiss Grusch’s claims by teasing the upcoming historical report AARO will release. Hint: it says AARO has found no evidence of extraterrestrials or secret programs. Travis Taylor is unimpressed with Kirkpatrick’s “scientific” approach.

Varginha: The Roswell of Brazil
in 1996, a UFO crashed outside the city of Varginha, Brazil. Several people reported seeing short beings with large red eyes, oily skin, and a strong smell of sulfur. The military cordoned off parts of the town, and captured two of the creatures. Witnesses were intimidated by men in dark suits. A police officer died of mysterious causes after handling one of the creatures. Then the US Air Force takes all the recovered crash debris and bodies. The Brazilian military denied everything, but the event got a lot of attention and is commonly called “the Roswell of Brazil.”

David Grusch Has Firsthand Knowledge
We’re opening the show with a bit of a bummer, because Schumer’s UAP disclosure amendment in the NDAA failed. Some UAP language remains, but it’s been severely watered down to the point of being perhaps useless, but Lue Elizondo reassures us that there’s a plan B in the works. Ross Coulthart interviewed Retired Navy Admiral Tim Gallaudet, who says plainly that we’re in contact with a non-human intelligence. And lastly, David Grusch dropped some big news: He’s just gained security approval to reveal that he has firsthand knowledge from being read into a UAP program, and is going to release an op-ed in the coming weeks.

“Catastrophic” UFO Disclosure
In this episode we discuss the ongoing efforts in Congress to reconcile the NDAA, where top Republicans are fighting to water down Senator Schumer’s UAP Disclosure Amendment, especially the clause that gives the government eminent domain powers to claim any UFOs being held by private aerospace companies. We also look at why everyone’s using the phrase “catastrophic disclosure,” which comes from a leaked slide by retired Army Colonel Karl Nell, which outlines a gradual ten-year disclosure plan that would ease the public into accepting the reality of UAP.

Kirkpatrick Retires, Speculative History of UFO Reverse Engineering
In this episode we cover some QuickHits of news, including a Congressional bill to restore Grusch’s security clearance, the HOC getting to read Grusch’s DOD IG complaint, AARO adding a reporting form to their website (that’s only for military and won’t accept classified info), and Dr Sean Kirkpatrick is retiring in December. Then we dive into a speculative history of the UFO reverse engineering program, as imagined by an aerospace engineer, which explores how a Manhattan Project-style program could have ended up in the hands of private aerospace companies, and how that might be tied to the February shoot-downs and Senator Schumer’s disclosure bill.

“Nothing New. Pointless.” AARO’s 2023 UAP Report and Congress gets DODIG in a SCIF
AARO released the 2023 UAP report, which feels like a student turning in a last-minute term paper without having done any research. It only covers eight months, and doesn’t mention Grusch or any other big UFO news. Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee got the DOD Inspector General into a SCIF, where he told them absolutely nothing. Oh, and the former director of a Pentagon UFO program released a new book where he says the US gained access to the inside of a UAP with no engine or way to fly, but won’t give any more details. And finally, this episode marks our one-year anniversary!

Grusch & Elizondo Predict a “Wild” 2024
In this episode, former UAP program director Lue Elizondo and UAP whistleblower David Grusch both predict that 2024 will be “wild in a good way.” Then we discuss the new Grusch interviews that dropped, which go into a bit more detail on why the government approved him talking about this stuff at all, the culture of secrecy, and how his autism worked in his favor during his investigation. And finally, the new Netflix documentary was quite good. It covers four different mass UFO eyewitness events, including the Ariel School incident and UFO sightings over Fukushima.

NASA Releases UAP Report; Senate Pressures AARO; 30+ More Whistleblowers!
It’s been a busy few weeks! We briefly touch on the Alien Mummy story in Mexico, report on some House UFO gossip, including another upcoming UAP hearing. We look at reports that multiple senators have been pressuring AARO to do a better job protecting whistleblowers, and a new article claiming more than 30 additional whistleblowers have come forward to the ICIG directly. And lastly, we discuss the report released by NASA’s independent UAP study team, which manages to make a lot of solid recommendations about NASA’s role in gathering UAP data moving forward, while also being dismissive and condescending toward the topic in general.

AARO’s New Boss Launches Website, Avi Loeb Finds Interstellar Material
We’re back with news from around the UAP community. First, Chuck’s here to talk about Avi Loeb’s claim to have recovered fragments of an interstellar object. Then we’ve got a quick update on more whistleblower activity. And finally, we’ve got some news about AARO, who recently moved in the org chart to report directly to Deputy Defense Secretary Hicks, who knocked some heads together and finally got their website launches (though it still has no contact info). Also, we discuss some reports that AARO themselves may be in possession of “anomalous materials!”

Dainty DoD is Concerned UAP Hearings Have Sullied Its Reputation
Although Congress is still on break for another couple weeks, we’re back with a bit of news. Reps. Burchett and Luna are still pushing to get a SCIF to hear Grusch’s classified testimony, but claim the DOD is stonewalling them. Ross Coulthart says the Pentagon and Intel Community are applying pressure to Congress to drop the UAP thing, and suddenly Rep. Turner says there will be no more UAP hearings in the House Oversight Committee to protect the reputation of the DOD. Plus, White House national security spokesman John Kirby dodges an opportunity to deny Grusch’s claims, while Gov. Christie laughs off a UFO question at the Republican presidential debate.

Grusch Health Records Leaked; Scientist claims ET body program
This week we’re covering two topics. Firstly, UAP whistleblower David Grusch’s past struggles with PTSD and suicide are published, sparking claims that the intelligence community is attempting to discredit Grusch and intimidate other witnesses. Then, we get weird, discussing a Reddit post where a molecular biologist claims to have worked in a program studying the genetics of alien bodies for a defense contractor. The details are fascinating, and there’s some indications that the scientist may be legit. Chuck and I are especially fascinated by his claims about the alien’s religion, belief in a “soul field.”

UAP Hearing Aftermath: Kirkpatrick attacks, Pentagon evades, and Lockheed locks.
In this week’s exciting episode, we cover the aftermath of last week’s explosive UAP hearing, including Chris Mellon’s claims that AARO is withholding satellite imagery of UAP from Congress, the fallout and possible legal consequences of Dr. Kirkpatrick’s weird LinkedIn post, continued evasion from the Pentagon, and the major aerospace companies going into press lockdown following whistleblower allegations that they’re involved in the reverse engineering program.

Alien Bodies!? Whistleblower Grusch and Navy Pilots in House UAP Hearing
The House Oversight Committee’s UAP Hearing just happened, and it was remarkable! Navy pilots David Fravor and Ryan Graves recounted their historic UFO encounters, and intelligence community whistleblower David Grusch reiterated his claims that the government has illegally concealed a UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program from Congress. Though these claims have been heard before, it was notable that they testified under oath to an engaged and bipartisan group of representatives. There was no joking, no attempts to undermine the claims being made, and no political maneuvering. The tone was remarkably serious, and the clear impression is that Congress isn’t letting this topic go. They’re on the ball, and already talking about next steps, including the formation of a UAP select committee with subpoena power!

They’ve announced the witnesses for the House Oversight Committee’s UAP hearing, including whistleblower David Grusch as well as Navy pilots David Fravor and Ryan Graves. Several Congresspeople are hopping mad about being denied access to videos and whistleblowers during a visit to Elgin Air Force Base, and they’re making it clear that the upcoming hearing is a direct effort by Congress to confront ongoing Pentagon interference in their UFO investigation. It’s clear Congress knows more than they’re saying… Could it be the reason they’re pushing so hard is because they already have smoking gun evidence?

22. The UAP Disclosure Act of 2023
Huge news this week as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer introduces the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023! This is a bipartisan NDAA amendment that would introduce a JFK-style UAP record review board who would review all government records with the intent to release all UAP items within 25 years. Huge! We talk about the implications of this, why it matters, and what the limitations might be. We also discuss the upcoming House UAP hearing, which has been scheduled for July 26, and the increasing willingness of Congress to take the topic seriously. Buckle up!

Chuck is out sick, but we’ve got a special cohost for today: Scott’s wife, Annie! We’re going to be discussing the continuing news of impending UAP hearings in both the House and the Senate, possibly this month! We have additional comments from Marco Rubios’ NewsNation interview, discussing whistleblower concerns that speaking out is punishable by death, and the specter of an unaccountable UAP complex. And journalist Ross Coulthart appeared on all the podcasts, and left some juicy bits of information for us, including the possibility that one of the recovered craft was too large to move, and they just built a building around it! Plus, whistleblowers under threat to sign new NDAs and some legal considerations around private contractors working with government-provided UFO material.

20. Congress is taking UAP whistleblower Grusch’s claims seriously
Chuck is still on vacation, but the UFO news just keeps coming hot and heavy, so Scott’s back with another solo episode to keep you up-to-date. We’ve got several stories this week, including an alleged secret Canadian UAP reverse engineering program and continued denials from the Pentagon. But the biggest story is that Congress is taking the claims of whistleblower David Grusch very seriously. We’ve got quotes from multiple Congresspeople as well as new UAP provisions written into the upcoming Intelligence Community Authorization Act that will remove funding from UAP programs that haven’t reported to Congress and a ticking clock for defense contractors to turn over any UFO material or information they got from the government, or face penalties!

19. David Grusch Week 2: The Vatican, UFO “agreements,” and coverups.
Scott's coming at you solo with the latest updates on UFO Whistleblower David Grusch's story. This week we're covering his video interview with Ross Coulthart, where among other revelations he shared that the Vatican helped the US recover a crashed UFO from Italy in 1945, and that the US government possibly has "agreements" with non-human intelligences. Not to mention running a decades-long coverup and disinformation operation against US citizens. We also cover the latest Congressional reactions to Grusch's story, as well as Michael Shellenberger's story with additional sources confirming Grusch's claims.

18. “Urgent and Credible” - Whistleblower David Grusch
It's happening! Whistleblower David Grusch, a USAF veteran and senior intelligence officer has provided information to Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General about illegal covert programs that possess retrieved non-human craft. This is a wild story, and we're going to talk about what he's claiming, why it's credible, how he differs from previous stories like Bob Lazar, and how the community is reacting. There's more to come, too, with additional interviews dropping shortly. If this is what it looks like, then this could be the start of Disclosure with a capital D!

17. NASA’s UAP Team Needs More Data
In this episode, we're talking about the NASA UAP Study Panel, who recently held their first public briefing ahead of their expected report in July. During the briefing, they questioned Dr Kirkpatrick from AARO, and agreed on the need for more and better quality data on UAP. We'll also talk about Dr Avi Loeb of Harvard, whose Galileo Project is moving forward with public data collection and announced they have plans to set up five additional observatories. And last but very much not least, we'll hear from Chris #UFODaddy Mellon, who says that if the US Government holds UFO crash materials, now is the time to reveal them!

Dr. Garry Nolan, a well-respected Standard immunologist, was interviewed recently at a financial conference about UFOs. He said some fascinating things about UAP, the government's response, what they might be, and how to destigmatize the topic to encourage scientists to take it seriously. He also mentioned that a recent whistleblower testimony "created quite a hornet's nest in Washington!" We'll talk about Garry's background, and why we find him credible.

We're back is a bit of followup on the recent UAP hearing. In particular a few red flags have been raised that seem to indicate that the DOD is, at best, dragging their feet, and at worst, actively working to sabotage AARO, the UFO office set up at the behest of Congress. In addition to that, we're hearing increasingly specific information about whistleblowers testifying to both AARO and Congress, which raises the question of why Dr. Kirkpatrick said there's no credible evidence. Something doesn't add up here, and it feels like pressure is building.
Also, we dub Senator Kirsten Gillibrand "UFO Mama Bear," joining the ranks of Chris "UFO Daddy" Mellon.

14. Congress Gets Mad: The April 2023 UAP Hearing!
For the last several weeks, rumors have been swirling that Congress was upset at the DoD over perceived foot-dragging on the topic of UAP. Sen. Gillibrand was demanding answers about a funding shortfall for the new AARO office, and many Congresspeople seemed frustrated with the lack of clarity from the military around the spy balloon shoot-downs. So when it was announced that a new public UAP hearing would be held soon, the community went wild. Speculation about what would come up in the hearing ranged from persistent rumors of whistleblower testimony about crash retrievals and reverse engineering programs all the way up to overt confirmation of non-human intelligence. In the end, the April 2023 hearing didn't cover any of that, and was more of a status update and view inside operations at AARO. We did get a new UAP video, a revised timeline for the next UAP report, some insight into how AARO investigates UAP cases, and hints of further hearings coming soon.

13. Are UFOs Time Travelers?
Buckle up, because we're getting into the weird today! Recently, increasing reports have been emerging from US intelligence and government sources that UFOs may not be aliens, but our own descendants from the far future traveling back in time to avert an impending catastrophe. It's a wild idea, but there's a bit more substance to it than you might think!

12. Anjali: retired intelligence officer claims alien base in Mojave Desert
In March of 2021, I saw a post in r/aliens on Reddit by the title “Retired Defense Intelligence Officer with a CE5 Experience to Share.” It got a lot of attention with a great story and some pretty phenomenal claims. The author, a woman named Anjali, who is a former defense intelligence officer, claims to have met a man in 2018 who excavated a tunnel to find an alien base in a mountain on his land in the Mojave Desert. He took her there, and she met beings from a council overseeing life on earth. They told her that she needed to wake up and remember why she’s here, because humanity’s days are numbered and those who fail to evolve will not transcend.
I'm super excited about today's topic, because the excitement surrounding Anjali's reddit post and the subsequent months of drama are what really got me fully back into the UFO topic, and started Chuck and I talking about it even before we thought of doing a podcast.

11. Is the Air Force lying to President Biden?
Y'all, it has been a *wild* two weeks since the US shot down three UFOs that turned out to be hobby balloons. The Pentagon is being weird about the balloons, the Senate is being weird about UAP, some sources claim the Navy told Biden that the Air Force is lying to him about UAP, and possibly as a result, Biden created his own independent UAP task force. Oh, and also, the Obama Library has thousands of pages of records about UAP? What is happening?

10. Chinese spy balloon, UFOs, and the 2001 Disclosure Project press conference
We've got a jam-packed episode for you today. In addition to our planned topic, we open by discussing the news that the US has shot down a Chinese spy balloon, as well as two other UFOs! After discussing why they're likely balloons, but that's still interesting for the UFO community, we get to the main topic:
The 2001 Disclosure Project press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. At this conference, Dr Steven Greer (who has become a controversial figure in the UFO community) brought over 20 military, intelligence, and government witnesses together to testify to what they know about UFO incursions in our airspace, and the off-the-books crash retrieval programs hidden in from proper government accountability.
It's gonna be a wild ride!

09. Betty & Barney Hill
This week we're talking about one of the foundational cases in the world of ufology: Betty and Barney Hill, who had an unusual encounter with a UFO while driving through the mountains late at night in 1961. They arrived home late, unable to account for 2-3 hours of time during their drive. They later recovered memories of being taken aboard the craft by aliens who conducted medical tests. It's a foundational story that introduced the world to some common elements of abduction stories including missing time and grey aliens. It's also got lots of room to be skeptical, and we're going to dig into it.

08. The 2022 UAP Report is Here! #UFODaddy
It's finally here! We've been waiting for the 2022 annual UAP report since halloween. We'll talk about what the report says, ask some questions about what it means, and dig into the community reaction to it. Let's go!

07. USS Nimitz Encounter
In 2004, the USS Nimitz carrier group tracked hundreds of anomalous radar signals while preparing for a training exercise. Commander David Fravor, flying an F/A-18 Super Hornet, was dispatched to investigate one signal and encountered an unusual flying craft he described as the "tic-tac." This incident was discussed in the 2017 New York Times coverage of the Pentagon's UAP office, including the now-famous "FLIR" video. Today we're going to discuss the incident in detail, and why it marks a turning point in the UFO conversation.

06. Where is the 2022 UAP Report?
The 2022 UAP Report was due on October 31. It's December now, so where is it? Today we'll dive into what we know about the delay, and whether there are dueling factions in the US government on the topic of UFOs. But the good news is that the 2023 NDAA just passed, and it includes several really exciting additions regarding UAP, including protection for whistleblowers!

- Need to Know, by Ross Coulthart and Bryce Zabel — Excellent discussion of UFO news by investigative journalists
04. Bob Lazar
Bob Lazar is arguably the most controversial figure in the world of UFOs. In a nutshell, Bob is a whistleblower who came out in 1988 with claims that he worked in a reverse engineering program for recovered alien craft that are kept at Area 51. Today we're going to get into it: Who is Bob, what does he claim, why did he come forward, and what are the points that make him more or less credible. Because if anything Bob claims is true? …It's a very exciting time!

03. The Admiral Wilson Memo
The Admiral Wilson Memo — aka, The Wilson-Davis Notes, The Core Secrets Memo, etc — is a document that records an alleged conversation between astrophysicist Dr. Eric Davis and Admiral Wilson, the recently retired director of the DIA. They discuss Wilson's attempts to locate a secret UFO program in the military, which he found, and was denied access to. The document is controversial to say the least, but the story is fascinating, and if it's true, reveals the existing of a secret crash retrieval and reverse engineering program!

02. Tom DeLonge
We're talking about how all the big UFO news we discussed in our last episode — from the 2017 New York Times article to congressional hearings — can be traced back to Tom Delonge. Yes, that Tom DeLonge. The lead singer of Blink 182. Buckle up, this one's a wild ride.

01. Why are we recording a podcast about UFOs?
"Really? You wanna be the UFO guy?" Yeah, actually, I do! Because I think most people don't understand that since 2017 there has been a rapid increase in astonishing information about UFOs. From the 2017 New York Times article disclosing the existence of a secret Pentagon UFO program, to the release of confirmed Navy videos of UFOs, to Congress demanding an annual report about what the military knows about UFOs, to the recent proposal to grant immunity to UFO program whistleblowers — there's been a LOT!
When I was growing up, UFOs were treated as a joke. News reports would include the X-Files theme, and anyone talking about the subject seriously would get teased about "little green men." But that seems to be changing. More and more, the topic is taken seriously.
And the thing is, once you accept, as Congress and the Pentagon seem to have, that there are unidentified craft flying around the sky… what else is real? If it's true? It's a very exciting time!
