Keeping Video Content Simple with Enrico Incarnati
Enrico Incarnati is a media strategist helping fitness professionals up their video content game. But he wasn't always interested in creating digital content. He first went to college in hopes of being a pediatrician. I'll let Enrico tell the story of how he changed his mind.
He spent a few years working as a videographer for well-known online fitness and nutrition coach Jordan Syatt, and through that experience has built a life working for himself and helping others reach larger audiences through creating videos.
Enrico shares advice on keeping your content simple, going where the attention is, and what he's learned through the ups and downs of his own career journey.

The Power of Short-form Video Storytelling
Trying something new for this episode - a podcast swap with my friend and fellow content marketer Christoph Trappe. Christoph is director of content strategy at Voxpopme, he’s also host of the Business Storytelling Show and author of several books including Content Performance Culture and Going Live.
What is a podcast swap? Well, basically I’m taking one of his episodes, putting it on my channels, and he’s taking one of mine and doing the same thing.
On this episode Christoph talks to social media manager Angela Myers to discuss short-form video storytelling - what is it, how can brands implement it, what makes a good story in this format and more. Angela helps small to medium sized businesses use digital storytelling to put their marketing on autopilot, according to her website angelamyerscreative.com.

How Web3 Will Affect Video Content with Brian Piper
Please welcome Brian Piper to the show! He is the director of content strategy and assessment at the University of Rochester. He also books a lot of speaking engagements as well as consulting around data analytics, content strategy, SEO, Web3 and NFTs. I wanted to have Brian on to talk about how Web3 will affect video content. And not just the content, but the creators behind that content. What to do when you're not feeling creative
**This episode was recorded live on my LinkedIn and YouTube channels on March 28, 2022.**
In a recent episode with Ken the Content Coach, we talked briefly about some of the small things content creators can do to still be creative, even though they don't feel like doing the bigger creative work in the moment. Bigger creative work meaning maybe...being on camera that day, editing a long video, writing a lengthy blog post, etc.
That got me thinking to ask some former colleagues and new connections I've made through this podcast what sorts of things they do when they're not feeling creative, but just want to move the needle for their creative passion or their business.
In this episode, I go over a few of those ideas that came in to hopefully inspire those who are struggling on the big projects. Tips include ideas for copy writers, video creators and content marketers.

- Dr. ELO's live streaming business and how he got started
- How he managed to get a regular live stream series with Be.Live (hint it took posting 150+ videos before he got a call)
- How he organizes his live streams
- The "FFF&#$ the Tech" mentality
- The importance of email lists

Discovering New Creative Passions and the Importance of Focusing on Community with Ken the Content Coach
He started out creating beard content - product reviews, beard science, tutorials, and more. He grew the Bluegrass Bearded YouTube channel to more than 2,000 subscribers and was able to monetize the content through product reviews and sponsorships. Then he began to notice his audience was interested in his creative video expertise. He began receiving questions on his editing techniques and equipment. That gave him the idea to start Ken the Content Coach.
Ken is still very much a part of the beard community, but now spends most of his time helping other content creators build and monetize their own YouTube channels.
In this interview we discuss:
- Not waiting until the absolute perfect moment to post your first video
- Listening to your community when it comes to creating content
- The importance of understanding and creating short-form content
- What to do when you just don't feel like being creative
- And more!

Why Brands are Embracing Branded Audio with Liz Horowitz
Brands are increasingly coming on board with podcasting, and more specifically, what the industry calls branded podcasting. Branded podcasts are not strictly promotional. They tell great stories.
Liz Horowitz, founder of Sonic Strategy Consulting, recently published an article on LinkedIn titled Winning Without Ads: 10 Reasons Brands Are Embracing Branded Audio. When I first came upon the article, I was not familiar with the term "branded audio." And after reading, I immediately thought I needed to get Liz on the show to elaborate on the subject.
We had a great conversation about what exactly branded audio is, why so many brands are starting podcasts, and if they aren't, why they should be. She also gives a few examples of great branded podcasts out there including shows from Trader Joes, Ford Motors and State Farm.

Running a Remote Live Production Company and Talking Production Strategy with Kimberly Flowers
Getting the Most Out of Your Podcasts with Jaclyn Schiff, CEO of PodReacher
In addition to why it makes sense for brands to turn their episodes into blogs, we talked about the importance of SHOW NOTES. I’ll admit, I haven’t put as much effort into mine as I should have. This is something I learned in my conversation with Jaclyn. But what was particularly intriguing was what she had to say around who your show notes should be intended for. Are they for your current audience? Do they provide better SEO and attract a new audience?
And of course, we had to talk about some things she has her eyes on as far as the future of podcasting.
Please take a listen. And of course, check out PodReacher at PodReacher.com if you need some help in better marketing your own podcast.

How to Bring the Most Value to Clients, Being Pumped About Streaming in 2021
I discovered Chris through a video production Facebook Group we both belong to, and I’ve been fascinated by his business because he shoots strictly with iPhones and iPads, number one. Number two, Chris is so great about sharing his knowledge with his colleagues in the industry. He goes live regularly on Facebook, for example, just to provide tips to fellow streamers on things like understanding how WiFi works, how to build your business, how much to charge, etc.
He has a passion about the business that is unparalleled, and he feels that 2021 is going to be the best year yet for live streamers. So I wanted to bring him on and have a conversation about his business, what he’s been up to the last few months since COVID-19 shook the world, entrepreneurship lessons, and much more.
