Money mindset blocks
A money block is a barrier in one’s mind, with their relationship to money. This can stem from growing up with scarcity and being told that money doesn’t grow on trees and is something one has to work very hard to earn.
Taking time to work through it, has enabled me to flourish in all areas of my business and life. I now run group coaching sessions centred around supporting yoga teachers, wellness practitioners and coaches work through their money blocks.
This is particularly challenging during the current economic climate, inspiring people to invest in themselves for long-term gain. I truly believe that when our cup is full, we can share more – that cup includes our financial security.

Poem: My Purpose
The word Purpose, in Sanskrit is 'Dharma', which is of the understanding that each one of us has a significant meaning of existence. My Purpose is a poem written many years ago, when I first started to explore and discover my Dharma. It continues to evolve even today, but the path of searching is reflected in this poem. I am passionate about guiding people towards discovering their dharma.
I seek the truth beyond the surface I listen to the voice within I follow the signs that guide me I trust the wisdom of my intuition.
I embrace the challenges that shape me I learn from the mistakes that humble me I celebrate the successes that inspire me I appreciate the gifts that enrich me.
I honour the diversity that surrounds me I respect the dignity of every being I contribute to the harmony of the whole I serve the greater good of humanity.
I express my creativity with joy I share my talents with generosity I pursue my passions with enthusiasm I fulfill my potential with excellence.

Throat Chakra Meditation
An imbalanced throat chakra can significantly impact your ability to communicate effectively for fear of judgement. A throat chakra blockage can also manifest as the inability to express your truth in the world. When the fifth chakra is open and balanced, you are able to express yourself clearly and honestly in any situation with confidence.
You may find yourself unable to speak your truth when you need it the most, or holding back on expressing your needs and desires. Perhaps, you long for fulfilling your dreams and living with a clear purpose,. These are common signs that your throat chakra is not currently functioning at its optimal level.

Should I sit up or lie down in meditation?
In a recent workshop on wellbeing, I encountered a question from a participant who wondered if meditating lying down was acceptable. They shared that they listened to a guided meditation audio in bed every morning and evening, and although they felt calm, they did not feel any spiritual growth. I would like to clarify that relaxation and meditation are not the same thing! Relaxation can involve lying down and letting your body and mind rest and unwind. Meditation, on the other hand, is a state of reaching a higher level of awareness, and this requires sitting up. Listen to this short podcast to find out why...

Light on the other side
"WE CANT ALWAYS CHOOSE THE MUSIC LIFE PLAYS FOR US, BUT WE CAN CHOOSE HOW WE DANCE TO IT"...
I'm Nikita and this time last year I sprained my ankle, well I thought it was a sprain. I was abroad and the x-ray there showed it was not broken. They sent me away without a crutch / support and I continued limping around and dancing on it for the next few months!
The pain was getting increasingly severe which prompted me to get another x-ray done in this country. This time it showed the tibia bone was broken. Perhaps it had been from the time of the injury or moving on it broke it, I'll never know. Fear and panic set in as I genuinely thought my career as a dancer & yoga instructor was over...
I struggled to demonstrate dance steps in classes and could no longer do some of the yoga postures in front of my students. I felt guilty and ashamed. I did a vigorous course of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, along with a lot of self healing (Reiki) and as a consequence, I was able to perform in TWO of my company's shows last year, albeit in discomfort.
Now one year on and I honestly do not feel a thing, I am back to complete physical strength and my mindset is even more determined to do what I can while I can. I feel so grateful that I recovered well and even though I am aware this was only a minor injury, I want to share my story to inspire others not to give up!
If you're going through a hurdle in your life where you feel stuck, whether it be physically, mentally or emotionally I can assure you this is a temporary phase and you WILL overcome it, even stronger than you are now. I promise, there is LIGHT on the other side, if you stay strong, resilient and have hope 🙏

Third Eye Meditation
This guided meditation will help you open your third eye, the centre of intuition and insight in your body. By activating your third eye, you will be able to access higher levels of consciousness, enhance your mental clarity and control your mind. You will also connect with your higher self, the source of your inner wisdom and guidance. This connection will allow you to tap into the universal energy and receive messages from the divine.
To prepare for this meditation, find a comfortable and quiet place where you can sit undisturbed for 12 minutes. You may want to light a candle to create a sacred space and set an intention for your practice. You can do this meditation twice a week or as often as you feel called to.

Heart Chakra Meditation
If you are experiencing anxiety, stress or tension, it may be a sign that your heart chakra is blocked or stagnant. The heart chakra is the centre of love, compassion and connection in your energy system. When it is balanced, you feel open, joyful and peaceful. This guided meditation will help you clear any blockages in your heart chakra and restore a sense of flow.
You will be guided through a gentle process of breathing exercises and visualisation, allowing you to release any unwanted emotions or attachments from your heart space. As you do so, you will feel more relaxed, calm and free.
This meditation is 13 minutes and suitable for beginners or experienced meditators. All you need is a comfortable place to sit or lie down, and some headphones if you prefer. You can do this meditation anytime you feel the need to cleanse your heart and reconnect with yourself.

Productivity v's Speed
Many people think that if they have a lot to do they need to do it quickly, but if you have a lot to do you might as well enjoy doing it!
We're told to make lists, write things down in order of priority and some say start with the hardest tasks first and then lead into the easier tasks as the day goes on. These are methods and ultimately in whatever order you do them, they all need to be done.
Some people think that Meditation and Mindfulness might slow them down, it might deviate them from their tasks or goals.
In my experience the practice of Meditation and application of Mindfulness has led me to be more productive.
I have greater clarity and focus which means I can be more decisive, think clearer and be more present.

I have always struggled with self-belief. When I was a teenager I was ambitious and wide eyed, but this soon got suppressed by the traditional system in which I studied Indian classical dance. My enthusiasm and curiosity got misunderstood for arrogance and so I was tamed to tone it down. As the years went on I became a better dancer but a more shy, self-conscious person. I went from being blindly confident to fearfully timid.
As I got older it only became harder to manage and the more successful I became, the more I lost another layer of self-belief.
What is Personal Development?
Over the past few years, my successful dance career on its own hasn't been satisfying me. I stopped performing during the pandemic and although I LOVE teaching, I always felt like I wanted (and could) do more. I was frustrated sitting on my talents and resources, not knowing what to do…
All I have ever known is, I want to help people become the best version of themselves... By drawing on my own pain, challenges, fears and resilience.
During the pandemic, many people struggled with periods of isolation and uncertainty. However, finding certainty in uncertainty is something I have been living with for years through my ongoing health problems.
Through Personal Development I SHINE MY LIGHT. I want to use my skills and experiences to motivate others, to draw on their inner strength. I want to inspire young people to follow their dreams and most of all encourage people to develop a deeper connection with themselves, on a SOUL level.

WHO AM I is an age old question that many of us may ask ourselves at different stages of our lives.
Getting to know ourselves is a journey; from understanding our personalities, to embracing our core values and consequently appreciating the essence of who we really are. Even though we are always adapting and evolving, there is a part of us that remains unaffected by external change.

I want to be someone,
I want to go somewhere,
I want to spread my knowledge,
I have a desire to share.
The ideas are all there,
The plans are in place,
I need to make it happen,
Need to run faster in this race.
I have been given a task,
An important role,
I need to hold on tight,
I cannot let go.
Even if things get tough,
Or if my vision gets lost,
I have to keep my faith going,
Keep going at any cost.
I have so much more to do,
Much more to achieve,
More tasks to complete,
More rewards to receive.
My journey is still long,
My aims are still high,
I need to fulfil my purpose,

My Journey with Reiki
Reiki came into my life, like a bird fly's into a garden. It was natural and effortless, yet has sustained a significant impact on my physical health and emotional wellbeing. Since practicing Reiki on myself and others, I have found that I am in harmony with the Universal life force; it flows through me with ease.
I am passionate about inspiring others to connect with this powerful energy, known as Reiki (Japanese), Chi (chinese) or Prana (Indian). I believe we should all have access to this, so we can heal ourselves and others.

Yoga Nidra Meditation
Do you have 15minutes to relax?
Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique that allows one to access a state of deep relaxation between wakefulness and sleep. It has been proven to have various benefits for physical and mental health, such as lowering stress levels, blood pressure and heart rate, as well as soothing the nervous system and the internal organs. This ancient practice from India is widely used today as a tool for coping with anxiety, by quieting the fluctuations of the mind through conscious awareness of the sleep state. Nikita is a skilled Yoga Nidra practitioner and Meditation instructor who offers weekly classes, wellness workshops and retreats.
This video is a 15 minute introduction to Yoga Nidra, ideal for practicing lying down, in Savasana (corpse pose). You will be guided through a series of directions and self-suggestions to help your brain send signals to each part of your body to RELAX. Towards the end, there will be a Meditation, ending with chanting of OM 3 times for lasting peace.

I sit still as I watch, my thoughts pass by,
Some fly past and others take time.
I am not getting involved in the play of my mind,
I remain detached and stillness I find.
Nothing remains, only my breath,
I am with the core of my being, my inner depth.
I hear it sing and feel it vibrate,
I connect with myself, through a bond of faith.
My thoughts and desires have now disappeared,
As I swim in the pool of emptiness, nothing is to be feared...

Daring to dream...
The decisions we make when we are young go on to shape the rest of our lives...
I chose GCSE subjects that I enjoyed, I chose A'levels that I was good at and I eventually chose NOT to go to University, despite it being the cultural norm in my family. It felt so natural for me to follow my passion and I was blessed to have parents who encouraged me to chase my dreams, even if they didn't work out.
I was ambitious and fearless, when making decisions, relying on my intuition and instinct (refer to poem: the voice inside).
Thankfully today, I am in my dream job. I have flexibility and freedom. I have work-life balance, where i can pursue hobbies, interests, wellbeing and I don't have high levels of stress.
I believe that everyone has a 'calling'. Its upto us if we are brave enough to connect to ourselves to listen and consequently follow it...

When you are feeling low, sad or down,
Do not get affected, do not even frown,
To know what to do, you just have to find,
That deep inner voice, the voice inside.
We all experience both pain and pleasure,
But knowing how to embrace it, is the greatest treasure,
Never have doubts, just let your faith ride,
Listen to your inner voice, the voice inside.
Find silence within and you will get all the answers,
Touch your deep inner self and realise your pure conscience,
The waves will be smooth and there will no longer be a tide,
Your inner voice will save you, the voice inside.
It is always there, it never goes away,
