Episode 130 - Saturday Scrawl - No More Nerds - A Rant
While I strive to be positive and uplifting in my blogging, podcasting, and social media, there some times when a rant is needed. A recent article over on The Guardian focused on the popularity of D&D and the resent D&D In A Castle event. While the article itself was OK, the title sucks! That title is:  "No more nerds: how Dungeons & Dragons finally became cool."  [Emphasis added.] You can read my Twitter rant here. You can read the companion blog post here.

After much reflection on my workflow, and the expense of some of my tools, combined with the looming demise of G+, I am convinced, that for me, I need to get serious about moving my workflow to Linux. Episode 70 - Sunday Special #1 - Magic Wands With Nikola
My granddaughter is fascinated with magic as portrayed in cartoons, like Disney's Frozen. Lately, she is hooked on magic wands. Her grandmother got her a tablet and her parents got her a dozen styluses, just in case. Today, one such stylus is her wand. I think this is a great example of role play, she is all in when it comes to being who she says she is. She likes rolling dice, but she's not quite ready for sitting still to play an RPG. She just turned four last Sunday.
